Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar can react with the excess gas in the stomach and provide relief. Mix 2 tsp of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water and drink it. This can be drunk two times a day.
Add 1 tsp of carom seeds and 1 tsp of black salt to a cup of buttermilk and drink at least 2 times a day.All these ingredients have anti-flatulence properties to dissolve extra gases and soothe the gut.
Cinnamon has antimicrobial properties to treat and prevent bacterial attack and can aid in the expulsion of gases from the stomach. Mix 1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder to a glass of warm milk and add honey if required. Drink this 1-2 times a day.
The cooling properties of coriander can combat flatulence and treat gastric troubles. Roast and powder coriander seeds and add it to a glass of buttermilk and drink. Or, make a tea of dry coriander leaves by boiling it in water. Strain, cool and drink it 2-3 times a day.
It is commonly chewed after meals to digest the food well. Roast and grind fennel seeds and mix a tsp in water and drink it daily to eradicate the problem of gastric discomfort totally from the body.
Black pepper works by increasing the flow of gastric juices in the body to help in digesting the food well. Take a cup of buttermilk and add 1/2 tsp black pepper and crushed jaggery and drink it 2-3 times a day.
