3 Easy And Simple Homemade Aloe Vera Soap Recipes

Here are 3 Aloe Vera soap recipes. Making these recipes mainly involves 2 basic ingredients. Oil and Lye (Sodium hydroxide) besides aloe Vera gel. Other ingredients used in these DIY soaps can be customized according to your personal preference. Here is how to do it.

Recipe 1:

Ingredients you will need:

1. Aloe Gel 10 oz. (with added water)
2. Coconut oil 15 oz.
3. Olive oil 13 oz.
4. Shea butter 2.5 oz.
5. Lye (NaOH) 6.5 oz.
6. Water 10 oz.

Recipe 1

Boil water in a saucepan and carefully add lye to water and let it cool. Melt the oil by heating it on low flame. When both of them attain the same temperature, add oil to the lye mixture. Mix well until the mixture gets a thick consistency. Pour into mold and allow it to set for 24 hours or more. Unmold and cut into the desired shape. Allow them to dry for few days and use.

Recipe 2:

Ingredients you will need:

1. Mineral water 7 oz.
2. Caustic soda 0r lye 3oz
3. Olive oil (extra virgin) 1.5 lbs.
4. Aloe Vera gel 1.8oz liquefied
5. Beeswax 0.4 oz.
6. 0.20 oz. mint essential oil or any other essential oil

Heat mineral water in a saucepan and carefully add lye stirring gently until it gets dissolve completely. The temperature of the mixture should be between 120 degree and 140 degrees F. In another saucepan heat the olive oil. The temperature of oil should also be approximately same.

Pour beeswax and stir in slowly. After removing from heat, add lye mixture in it stirring continuously until the mixture thickens and sets. Add Aloe Vera juice and essential oil and once again stir using a spoon. Pour the mixture in a greased mold. Tap gently to avoid air bubbles. Cover the mold with a thick cloth and allow the soap to set for 48 hours. After unmolding them, leave them as usual for another day and then cut them into bars. Allow them to dry for 15-20 days and use.

Recipe 3:

Ingredients you will need:

1. Aloe Vera gel extracted from four leaves of aloe Vera plant (blending it in juice form)
2. Four tbsp. honey
3. Two 250 grams of glycerin soap bars
4. Olive oil 100 ml
5. Lemon zest

Put both the glycerin soap in a microwave proof bowl and microwave for 3-4 minutes, until it melts completely. In another bowl pour aloe Vera gel, honey and lemon zest. Using an electric beater whisk the mixture adding slightly heated and melted olive little by little until all elements are mixed thoroughly and gets nice color and scent. Convert the mixture into a plastic mold and set in refrigerator for 24 hours. Next day bring the mold out of refrigerator and cut into desired shape.
