Stress is an unavoidable part of our lives and the effects are harmful, often fatal! However, even if you cannot do away with stress completely, you can at least keep these harmful effects at bay with 5 effective tips to minimize stress and nullify its effects.
It’s not easy to check off enough things off the list but remember not to bite off more than you can chew, else you’ll be spilling it all around! Go easy on yourself while making the priority list.
Find the Root Cause
Problems have this uncanny ability to come from all angles at once. However, figure out what is worrying you the most and you will find out it is probably just or two things that are making everything more difficult as a whole.
Work On It
You can’t possibly do much about the root cause itself because if you could you wouldn’t be stressed in the first place. But rejuvenate your mind and body with movies and music, or quality time with dear ones, yoga, a massage/spa or whatever suits you.
Go on a stress-reliever diet rich in folates, glutathione, antioxidants, theanine and serotonin. Include lots of asparagus, avocados, chamomile tea, green tea, chocolate, walnuts, oatmeal and oranges in your daily diet.
Get Enough Sleep
While racing time, you sacrifice the only thing your priorities would allow you to, your sleep time. Realize that without a proper sleep of at least 7 hours you cannot function to your fullest so sleep is necessary for your priorities itself!
