Eagle Pose

To achieve this mildly difficult yoga pose, stand tall with toes, ankles and knees together. Next transfer your entire body weight to your left foot. Bend your right knee and lift your right foot off the ground. Cross your right thigh over your left thigh. The right foot which is directly behind the left knee, should point downwards. Stretch your arms in front of you. Bend both your elbows. The right elbow should be placed directly over the left elbow. Forearms should the straight. Intertwine your arms and press the palms together. The finger tips should point up, towards the ceiling. Look straight ahead and hold this pose for 20 to 30 seconds.

Supported Shoulder Stand

Supported Shoulder Stand Pose or Salamba Sarvangasana is an inverted yoga posture that detoxifies the body. This pose helps to drain lymphatic fluid which collects in the extremities. Inversions like supported shoulder stand also stimulates the entire lymphatic system. Place a couple of folded blankets on the floor. Lie on your back. Your shoulders should be one hand width from the edge of the blanket. The head should be on the floor.  Bend your knees towards your chest. Raise your hips off the floor and swing your legs up. Support your back with the palms of your hands. Raise your legs further till they are perpendicular to the floor. Breathe normally and hold this pose for 3 to 5 minutes.

Your buttocks should rest comfortably on your heels. Lie comfortably on your stomach. Spread your legs hip width apart. The top of your feet should touch the floor.  Bend your elbows and place your palms face down directly below your rib cage. Allow your forehead to touch the floor. Inhale deeply. Pressurize your palms and lift your head, neck and chest off the floor. Ensure that your pelvis does not come off the floor. Lift your head up and look ahead. Hold this pose for about 30 seconds.

Full Boat Pose or Paripurna Navasana is a basic yoga pose that requires only fair amount of flexibility. This pose stretches the abdominal muscles and gives all the vital abdominal organs including the liver and kidneys a gentle massage. Improving the function of the liver and the kidneys is an effective natural way to eliminate harmful contaminants from the body. Sit firmly on both the buttocks. Bend the knees. Place your hands palms facing down slightly behind your back.  Straighten your legs and lift them off the floor one at a time. Your thighs should be angled about 45 degrees to the floor. Now stretch your hands forward so that they are parallel to the floor. Open your thoracic cavity and breathe deeply. Hold this pose for 20 to 30 seconds.

Full Boat Pose

Bow Pose

Bow pose also called Dhanurasana is one of the most powerful detox postures in yoga. Bow pose puts gentle pressure on the abdominal organs thereby improving their function. This pose also improves blood circulation to the abdominal region. It also enhances lung function. All these factors aid in expelling toxins from the system. Lie on your abdomen. Bend your knees and hold your ankles with your hands. With a deep inhalation lift your head, chest and thighs off the floor. The stomach should be pressed against the floor.
