Our eye health depends on a number of factors which includes our daily intake of nutrients in the form of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids and more. 1. Broccoli

Carrots, as we all know is rich in beta-carotene. Beta-carotene means vitamin A which is extremely good for eye health of the elderly. It is known to prevent the onset of night blindness, helps in maintaining clear and healthy cornea and also protects the cells of the eyes from age-related degeneration. Carrots contain lutein. It helps in increasing pigment density in the macula. This is the yellow spot located close to the center point of the retina. This helps in lowering risk which is associated with macular degeneration. It helps in keeping the retina protected and improves vision.
