Sage has been used for ages to treat mouth ulcers, canker sores, infected gum and throat infection because of its antiseptic, anti-spasmodic and anti-inflammatory properties. Sage is known for its astringent action due to its high tannin content. It can effectively heal painful blisters. Take a handful of fresh sage leaves or 2 tsp. of dried sage and infuse in boiled water for at least 10-15 minutes. Swish your mouth with this water. Keep the water in your mouth for 10-15 seconds and spit it out. Do this 3-4 times and finally rinse your mouth with plain water. Repeat this 3-4 times a day to find quick relief.

The antiseptic and antibacterial qualities of tea tree oil can also effectively treat tongue blisters. Just add 2-3 drops of tea tree oil in a cup of water and rinse your mouth 3-4 times a day to get rid of pain and inflammation from blisters.
